Fishing Success

Description

The Alaskan brown bear is the coastal form of the Grizzly bear. In summer when the salmon migrate the bears come to Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park to feed on the protein rich fish. The best fishing spot is in the plunge pool just below the falls - the exhausted salmon fall back against the bear and he simply lifts them up with his paw. The biggest and most dominant male has this spot!
